GyannPortal is school management software (a school ERP) that brings administrators, teachers, students and parents onto one platform. It covers admissions, student records, attendance, fees, exams and results, timetables, assignments, library, certificates, communication, reports and a school website.
Is GyannPortal suitable for small schools?
Yes. The Starter plan is designed for schools with up to 200 students, and you only set up the modules you need. As the school grows, you can move to a larger plan without changing systems or losing any records.
Can multiple schools use one platform?
Yes. GyannPortal is a multi-tenant platform: many schools use it, and each school's data is kept completely separate. A school can also run several branches under one account, and school groups can manage multiple schools.
Can schools use their own domain?
Yes. Every school gets a website on a free gyannportal.com subdomain, and can connect its own domain name (for example yourschool.edu.np) instead.
Does GyannPortal support attendance?
Yes. Teachers can mark class attendance as present, absent, late or excused in a few taps, and schools can add RFID card readers at the gate so attendance is recorded automatically as students arrive, with a live attendance board.
Does it support fees and payments?
Yes. You can set fee structures per class and term, generate invoices for a whole class, record payments by cash, cheque, bank transfer or card, and print receipts. Outstanding and overdue fees are always visible. Online payment gateways such as eSewa and Khalti are planned.
Can parents receive notifications?
Yes. Schools can send notices to everyone, to one role, or to the parents of a specific class or section, and they appear in each parent's notification inbox on the web portal and in the mobile app. Parents can also see their child's attendance, fees and results at any time. Automatic alerts (for example when a child is marked absent) are on our roadmap.
Is there a mobile app?
Yes. Teachers, students and parents have a GyannPortal mobile app with their attendance, assignments, results, fees, timetable and notifications. School administrators use the full web dashboard.
How does school onboarding work?
Register your school online and verify your email with a one-time code. Our team reviews and approves the registration, after which your admin can sign in, set up classes and fee structures, and add teachers, students and parents — each new user receives their login details by email. Our team is available to help you get set up.
How secure is school data?
Passwords are stored hashed, all traffic uses HTTPS, accounts lock after repeated failed sign-ins, and privileged accounts confirm sign-in with an emailed code. Role-based permissions limit what each user can see, audit logs record important changes, and each school's data is isolated from every other school. School data is never shared with third parties.
